Reframe at Work.

Most workplace conversations about menopause focus on physical symptoms.

We focus on the psychology—helping organisations understand how perimenopause can influence confidence, thinking, emotions, relationships and work, and how to better support women through this transition.

Let's talk
Midlife woman in the workplace, representing support for women through perimenopause at work

Why now

Perimenopause is a workplace challenge.

Policy

The national bar has moved

The 2024 Senate Inquiry into menopause and perimenopause recommended Australian workplaces develop perimenopause and menopause policies, in consultation with employees. The Government's 2025 response supported 16 of the 25 recommendations, including in-principle support for WGEA collecting data on employer supports.

Evidence

The impact is measured

Representative Australian data from Jean Hailes and the Australasian Menopause Society: one in four women aged 45–64 reported symptoms they attributed to menopause made daily activities harder. 7% had missed work; 17% had taken an extended break in the previous five years.

The quiet risk

Most of it is invisible

The risk for employers is often less visible than absenteeism: reduced confidence, hidden strain, lower participation, reluctance to disclose — or experienced women quietly stepping back.

The business issue is not that women lose capability. It is that some experienced women lose confidence, clarity, energy or the sense that they can keep working well through this stage. Support at this point helps protect engagement, retention, psychological safety and workforce participation.

Proof of practice

We're bringing this conversation to professional communities.

Fluxx has delivered sessions on the psychological experience of perimenopause at work for professional communities including PESA and Women's Network Australia.
